Bethesda Softworks announced today that they will release the latest and last downloadable content for The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion on Monday, Oct. 15. Called Fighter’s Stronghold, the content will be free for one week via elderscrolls.com (for PC) and Xbox Live (for Xbox 360).
Located in the Colovian Highlands west of Chorrol, the expansive Battlehorn Castle will allow players to live the life of a noble warrior, with private quarters, grand dining hall, wine cellar, barracks, training room and more. And what castle would be complete without a few hidden passages and dark secrets?
Knights of the True Horn will patrol the castle and do players’ bidding, while inside the furnishings can be upgraded throughout the castle. As castle lord, players can also do a bunch of hiring:
- Hire a vintner to create special wines to enhance your fighting abilities
- Hire a combat trainer to spar with
- Hire a taxidermist to craft lifelike trophies for your great hall
- Purchase an ancient Dwemer Forge that buffs your Armorer skill
