Gearbox Software, the studio behind the Brothers in Arms games, the upcoming shooter Borderlands and Aliens: Colonial Marines, is looking for play testers in Plano, Texas. However, the studio never said the testers were needed for those games. So, could this be your chance to get your hands on the oft-rumored Halo 4?
Months ago, OXM suggested that Gearbox had been selected to develop Halo 4 as a launch title for the next Xbox. Well, if that rumor is true, Gearbox’s request for play testers could very well be a hidden request for feedback on how Halo 4 is turning out so far.
Don’t get completely giddy; that’s totally a guess on our part. But, considering the OXM rumor and Gearbox’s lack of information about which game the testers will be playing, it’s at least an educated guess….
Gearbox’s email said that the studio is “looking for many focus testers to give us their feedback on an exciting upcoming Gearbox title. Gearbox has currently announced Borderlands, a co-op sci-fi shooter, and Aliens: Colonial Marines, based on the influential Aliens movies. We’re looking for people able to visit our offices in Plano, Texas for a few hours to help us hone our games’ appeal.”
Note the the note never said that those two games were the ones they want tested….
