Gears of War, Viva Pinata Going to PC

July 11, 2007 by Sara

Microsoft spent a lot of time last night at its E3 2007 press conference discussing Games for Windows (aka “PC games”), and the spiel was highlighted by announcements that both Gears of War and Viva Pinata would be headed to a PC platform near you — both with Windows LIVE online support.
All told, Microsoft announced nearly 30 new Games for Windows-branded titles, including: Age of Empires 3: The Asian Dynasties (from Microsoft), Bee Movie Game (from Activison), BlackSite: Area 51 (from Midway Games), Clive Barker’s Jericho (from Codemasters), The Club (from SEGA), Company of Heroes: Opposing Fronts (from THQ), Empire Earth 3 (from Sierra Entertainment), Fallout 3 (from Bethesda Softworks), Flight Simulator X: Acceleration (from Microsoft), Gears of War (from Microsoft), Hour of Victory (from Midway Games), John Woo Presents Stranglehold (from Midway Games), Juiced 2: Hot Import Nights (from THQ), Kane & Lynch: Dead Men (from Eidos), Nancy Drew: Legend of Crystal Skull (from Her Interactive Inc.), Operation Flashpoint 2 (from Codemasters), Rise of the Argonauts (from Codemasters), Rogue Warrior (from Bethesda Softworks), SEGA Rally Revo (from SEGA), Sid Meier’s Civilization IV: Beyond the Sword (from 2K Games), Sid Meier’s Civilization IV: Gold Edition (from 2K Games), Spider-Man: Friend or Foe (from Activision), Star Wars Empire at War: Gold Packâ€? (from LucasArts), The Witcher (from Atari), Thrillville: Off the Rails (from LucasArts), Turning Point: Fall of Liberty (from Codemasters), Universe at War: Earth Assault (from SEGA), Viva Pinata (from Microsoft), and Zoo Tycoon 2: Extinct Animals (from Microsoft).
