There’s a new Facebook game on the horizon from the Monty Python crew, and it’s now got a name an a beta sign-up process. The official name of the new Monty Python Facebook game: The Ministry of Silly Games. The beta sign-ups: available here.
Scheduled to arrive on Facebook sometime next year, The Ministry of Silly Games has players completing mini-games based on the Monty Python’s Flying Circus TV shows and at least one Monty Python feature film. I can only imagine what this might mean for the gameplay. Limb hacking? Crucifixion faking? Farting in the PC monitor’s general direction? Mini-games based on Monty Python should be hilarious.
Whatever form they take, the mini-games — once completed — will give the players experience points that can then be used to buy in-game money. The money is used to put more parts in the Engine in the Ministry of Silly Games, which presumably unlocks more mini-game madness.
Additional details are scarce at this point, but it’s a safe bet that the upcoming Facebook Monty Python game will tear a handful of folks away from Farmville and the other casual games on the social networking site. Especially since Ministry of Silly Titles will be completely free to play and let gamers personalize and interact with a whole new world of Python.
