THQ today shipped the first Xbox 360 shooter that supports 50 players on Xbox Live, with Frontlines: Fuel of War headed to retail for both the Xbox 360 and Windows PC.
Frontlines: Fuel of War is an infantry- and vehicle-based FPS set against a desperate near-future energy crisis in which the Western Coalition and the Red Star Alliance are battling over the world’s last oil reserves. The intense and cinematic single-player campaign follows the brave soldiers of the Western Coalition Stray Dogs division, as they battle on the frontlines with a huge arsenal of over 60 next-generation vehicles and weapons.
The game’s frontline combat system focuses the intense combat action on the game’s massive battlefields, and a flexible infantry role and load-out system allows players to choose how the war is waged and won. Frontlines: Fuel of War also features 50-player dedicated servers for the Xbox 360 platform and 64 players for Windows PC, delivering a new level of intense multiplayer combat.
