Oblivion: Game of the Year Edition Announced

July 9, 2007 by Sara

Bethesda Softworks, failing to surprise anyone within earshot of the videogame industry, today announced plans to release The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Game of the Year Edition later this year. The game will appear on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC this September.
Oblivion GotY will include the original version of the award-winning RPG Oblivion, along with the Shivering Isles expansion and the downloadable “Knights of the Nine” content. Pricing has not yet been announced.
Oblivion, in our humble editor’s opinion, is one of the best role-playing games ever created and is our editor’s favorite game of all time. But he already owns that content, so he won’t be buying this new SKU.
If you haven’t yet played Oblivion, though, you’ll definitely want to pick this up. The game and the additional content in this package are hot, plain and simple.
