Xfire Passes the 7 Million User Mark

May 7, 2007 by Sara

Xfire announced some new stats today, the most noteworthy being that they now have more than ‘seven million registered users. Now, normally, we don’t post this kind of PR/Marketing disguised as news, but upon closer inspection, this helps prove the point that PC gaming is far from dead. Why? Because Xfire is a sort of “Xbox Live” for PC (far better than the new Windows Live crap), and if they have seven million users, that’s a lot of PC gaming going on, and that’s just the tip of the iceberg, since Xfire doesn’t support casual games, like our much loved Peggle.
