Namco Bandai today took the wraps off the four online gameplay modes in Ace Combat 6: Fires of Liberation, the company’s upcoming flight action game for Xbox 360.
The most important online mode, at least as far as we’re concerned, is Co-op Battle. In this mode, up to four players can cooperate to go against computer-controlled enemies and try to complete the mission as quickly as possible.
The second mode, Battle Royale, will be a frenetic free-for-all battle for up to 16 players in which the pilot with the highest score at the end of play takes first place.
The third mode, Team Battle, is a 16-player mode in which teams try to out-maneuver and out-shoot opposing squadrons controlled by other players.
And the fourth and final mode, Siege Battle, pits two teams of up to four players each against one another as they take turns assaulting and defending a variety of land, sea and air-based targets. The team that conquers and defends in the shortest amount of time wins.
Ace Combat 6: Fires of Liberation for the Xbox 360 will ship to retail stores nationwide on October 23.
