Command & Conquer 3 fans who happen to prefer Xbox 360 over PC gaming have good news today, as Electronic Arts has begun shipping Command & Conquer 3: Kane’s Wrath for Xbox 360. The stand-alone expansion includes all of the key features from the PC version while adding a few exclusives
The biggest enhancement from the PC version is a new control interface that EA has dubbed “CommandStick.” This interface was designed to make the RTS gameplay more intuitive and approachable for a console.
Command & Conquer 3: Kane’s Wrath on Xbox 360 features four gameplay modes total, including a new — and Xbox 360 exclusive — mode called Kane’s Challenge. This mode is a grueling gauntlet of 90 matches against nine armies and features exclusive cut scenes and taunts from Kane.
Skirmish and multiplayer battles over 50 maps are also available via Xbox Live for up to four players, and Kane’s Wrath includes VisionCam support as well. The single-player campaign, meanwhile, is comprised of 13 story-driven missions. The story spans two decades of Tiberium Lore, focusing on the rebirth of the Brotherhood of Nod after the Second Tiberium War through the dramatic events of the Third Tiberium War and beyond.
