The Xbox Games with Gold September game lineup has begun to tire just a week into the free games program, so you may be looking for a new blast-happy outing. Considering checking out Under Defeat HD: Deluxe Edition, a classic-style shoot-em-up arcade game from Rising Star Games.
Under Defeat HD: Deluxe Edition isn’t free, mind you; it carries a price of $19.99. But the Xbox 360 Games on Demand service is better for it being there.
Under Defeat HD: Deluxe Edition builds on the classic arcade version by adding new upgrades and gameplay modes. Among the list of new features are dual-stick compatibility and “destructive realism” that encompasses improved artwork, HD textures and refined shadowing.
The game also includes two modes: a Classic Arcade Mode and a New Order Mode that’s presented in 16:9 ratio to appear better on an HDTV.
Practice versions of both modes are also available.
Under Defeat HD: Deluxe Edition can be downloaded now via the Xbox 360 Games on Demand Marketplace. The game is also available on the PlayStation Network for PS3.
