As we mentioned in our exhaustive Gears of War 2 collectible item walkthrough, Epic Games seriously deviated from the COG tag formula established in the original Gears of War, deciding to sprinkle not just COG tags around the world, but a wide variety of hidden collectible items that actually out-number the COG tags themselves.
Gears of War purists might be a bit taken aback by this (we were), but goodie-hunting Xbox 360 owners may actually find the diversity entertaining. Obscure, maybe, but definitely entertaining. For instance, if you look below at the bullet-point list of all the collectibles in the game, you can easily see that COG Tags are few and far between in Gears of War 2. We’ve included this list below for those gamers who want to know the missions in which they can find the COG tags and other items, but not necessarily have it spelled-out for them where the items are.
