Rockstar announced GTA IV: The Lost and Damned for Xbox 360 this morning, the first of two “episodes” of downloadable content scheduled for download on Xbox Live Marketplace. Along with the announcement, Rockstar North also sent along four high-resolution GTA IV: The Lost and Damned screenshots, which we’ve included below for your multimedia pleasure.
Based on the artwork below, we can deduce a few things about the new GTA IV DLC. First, the game — which will feature a new storyline and main character — appears to focus on biker gangs rather than taxi drivers. Our guess is that there’s a civil war erupting in Liberty City between two rival gangs, The Lost and The Damned, and players will find themselves smack dab in the middle of it.
Second, the game may be using some new graphical filters to give GTA IV: The Lost and Damned more of an artistic feel. Either that, or these screens — which is how Rockstar referred to them — are actually concept art rather than in-engine screen captures. The thumbnail images below appear to be screens, but if you click on them to see their high-resolution counterpart, it’s clear that they’re not sharp and have some odd paintbrush-type marks on them.
We’ll bring you more information and screenshots of GTA IV: The Lost and Damned as they become available. Until then, check out the first official images released by Rockstar.
