The Super Bowl is going down on February 3, but Activision is giving gamers something to do the rest of the weekend by announcing a special Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock — Rock Your Party Weekend on Xbox 360.
The 72-hour event, open only to residents of the United States and Canada, gives players the chance to prove their axe-grinding skills and has a Play-and-Win Sweepstakes that offers gamers the chance to win a bunch of prizes. Before the Super Bowl, fans can test their talents against developers from Neversoft between 12 and 4 p.m. PST.
The grand prize winner of the weekend’s festivities will take home an LG 50″ 1080p Flat Panel Plasma HDTV, an Xbox 360 Elite console and a BoomChair – Wi-FX Wireless Gaming Chair.
Some of the other prizes up for grabs include Microsoft Points, Guitar Hero Gear and an Xbox 360 wireless guitar faceplate signed by Slash.
Fans can register for Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock — Rock Your Party Weekend by downloading the Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock GamerPics exclusively through Xbox Live Marketplace.
