Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary Pre-Order Bonus Details

July 18, 2011 by Sara Leave a Comment

Halo thumbnailIf you’re planning to nab the Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary edition this November, an Xbox 360 version of the original Halo with HD graphics, you might want to consider pre-ordering the game to pick up a few goodies that will only be available to those who reserve their copy. The pre-order bonuses are simple enough — an Avatar costume and game-altering skull — but for those who are obsessed enough with the Halo franchise to buy the HD-ified version, the simple bonuses may be enough to sway a pre-order vote.

Microsoft did not specify which outlet consumers needed to use for their Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary pre-order, so I’d recommend heading to your local GameStop or over to Amazon via this link: Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary.

Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary may ship this Nov. 15, but the pre-order can be made at any time. The details of the two pre-order bonuses are below.

  • Master Chief Avatar Armor: Heroes Never Die, and to honor the 10th anniversary of John 117, you will finally be able to transform your Xbox LIVE Avatar into the iconic hero by outfitting it with Master Chief’s signature MJOLNIR Powered Assault Armor.
  • Grunt Funeral Skull – An exclusive, game-modifying skull that changes the rules of the game for an explosively humorous experience, Grunt Funeral sends Halo’s most lowly and lovable enemy out in a blaze of glory. And plasma. And then more glory. Once the skull has been activated, every grunt’s methane tank will explode like a plasma grenade when killed. Watch out for the grunt chain reaction

Featuring a bounty of new features, including cooperative play over Xbox LIVE, a bundle of some of the most beloved multiplayer maps in Halo history reimagined, a Classic mode that let you play the original version, new challenges and new story to uncover, Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary launches on Xbox 360 for an estimated retail price of $39.99 USD on Nov. 15.
