The hit Japanese game Ikaruga will hit the Xbox 360 this Wednesday, as the game joins the Xbox Live Arcade lineup for 800 Microsoft Points.
Ikaruga is a fast-paced scrolling shooter with a twist: players must constantly switch their ship’s polarity to maximize their damage output and avoid enemy fire that has the opposite polarity. The game originally appeared on the GameCube; you can read our review of that version by clicking this link: Ikaruga GameCube review.
Ikaruga on Xbox Live Arcade features a two-player co-op mode both locally and over Xbox Live. The game will also include a slow-motion training mode, as well as an Xbox-only “record and replay function,” which lets players record their gameplay session and watch it over and over.
Joining Ikaruga on the Xbox 360 this week will be two new downloadable content packs for Poker Smash. The new content includes two Action Mode Environments in the “Environment Pack” and 15 Puzzles in the “Puzzle Pack,” giving Poker Smash a total of 13 environments and 70 puzzles. The Poker Smash Environment Pack and Puzzle Pack will each be available for 100 Microsoft Points.
