August 6, 2007 by Sara Leave a Comment

Microsoft has announced a $50 price drop for the Xbox 360, effective August 8. The $50 Xbox 360 price drop will go into effect the same day EA ships Madden NFL 08.
At its new price $349.99 USD, the Xbox 360 will include a 20GB hard drive, wireless controller and Xbox 360 headset. The Xbox 360 Core System will also see a price reduction, with its console and controller available for $279.99 USD. And yes, the Xbox 360 Elite will also drop in price by $50; the 120GB system will retail for $449.99.
Last month before the E3 Summit kicked off, Sony dropped the price of its 60GB PlayStation 3 by $100.
