NBA Live 08 Going 5-on-5 Online with Humans

October 11, 2007 by Sara Leave a Comment

Electronic Arts announced today that NBA Live 08 is getting an online update in November that will enable five-on-five online play with all of the players being human. In other words, online games won’t necessarily feature AI-controlled players.
With this update, player movement, decision making and the game’s outcome will all be completely dependant upon how gamers play as an online team, calling out plays and actually playing would-be “real” roles in the various positions.
Even after the update, the AI will take over any positions not controlled by a human player online.
