Hudson Entertainment today announced that Omega Five for Xbox Live Arcade will be available next week for 800 Microsoft Points. The game, a new side-scrolling franchise in a 3D environment, will hit Microsoft’s online distribution network on January 9.
Taking place in a far-flung future, Omega Five delivers what Hudson is calling “hardcore action never seen before on [Xbox 360].” The game is set in multiple 3D environments and features enormous battles, all in high definition. In Omega Five, players can choose from multiple humanoid characters, each with its own unique attacks and upgradeable weapons that they can shoot in 360 degrees.
Omega Five includes local co-op play so a friend can join in on the aerial mayhem. No mention was made of online play via Xbox Live.
