Register to Vote through Xbox 360

August 28, 2008 by Sara Leave a Comment

Tonight Barack Obama will accept his official nomination as the Democratic candidate for the 2008 presidential election. So, the time seems right to let you know that if you own an Xbox 360, you can register to vote directly from your sofa.

Microsoft and Rock the Vote have signed a deal allowing Xbox 360 owners to register to vote, participate in presidential polls and voice their opinions via Xbox Live. The registration technically started Monday (Aug. 25), the first day of the Democratic National Convention, but tonight seemed like an appropriate time to spread the word.

How voter registration actually takes place via the Xbox 360 is unclear (the entire DailyGame staff is already registered, so we can’t test it out), but if you’re interested, you can check it out through your Xbox 360 Dashboard.
