Self-Defense Training Camp Punches and Kicks onto Xbox Kinect

Xbox Kinect thumbnailIt gets darker earlier at this time of year, so maybe you’re thinking about protecting yourself from evil meter maids. A new Xbox Kinect game from Ubisoft, Self-Defense Training Camp, will help you do just that. The Kinect-exclusive game is available now at retail.

Self-Defense Training Camp teaches you the fundamentals of self-defense that will ultimately give you the stamina, courage, and confidence to protect yourself in compromising situations. The game features more than 30 actual self-defense moves that are taught by real-life self-defense coaches with years of experience.

Utilizing Kinect’s superior tracking technology, the game will follow your movements and give you immediate feedback that makes mastering self-defense moves more accessible to everyone. Of course, there’s also a fitness element, as Self-Defense Training Camp includes more than 10 different cardio exercises and routines inspired by martial arts and kickboxing. There also are some mini-games inspired by boxing techniques that will your reflexes.

When you’re ready to calm down, you can then learn how to stay calm under stressful situations with Tai Chi exercises. Clear your mind with this meditative form of exercise that will help you stay composed in the face of danger.
