A World of Keflings may have just released on Xbox Live Arcade (read our World of Keflings review), but the team at NinjaBee is already letting the beans spill about two new secret unlocks for the XBLA game.
The new super-secret info involves two new avatar emotes, which can only be unlocked by the following method: play the game online with the NinjaBee development team, many members of whom will be playing A World Of Keflings on December 26 around 7:00 p.m. PST. What exactly the new secret avatar emotes are is still TBD, but it sounds like they’re special dances.
For those who are wondering, an “emote” is a special dance that your avatar can do in game. The various emotes are activated by pressing the D-pad to bring up the emotes menu, at which point players can choose the one they want to do and press the A button to start doing it. Some emotes are built into the game, some can only be earned by playing friends in local and Xbox Live multiplayer, and some can be unlocked by earning Achievements in other games. NinjaBee indicated that a few particularly nice emotes are available from Band of Bugs. And of course, there are these unlockable ones by playing against NinjaBee on Dec. 26.
World of Keflings puts your Xbox 360 avatar into the game itself as a giant among a group of small beings (named Keflings). Think of it as a new-age Gulliver’s Travels, only you’re a bit of a demigod. For instance, it’s up to your Avatar to help the Keflings solve their problems while putting them to work both collecting and processing the resources required.
