The Xbox One Day One edition console is remarkably still available from Microsoft Stores and the Xbox 360 Dashboard itself. If you’re looking for extra motivation to pre-order, Microsoft today announced some exclusive Day One content for three Xbox One launch games to sweeten the deal. There’s some exclusive Day One content coming to Forza Motorsport 5, Ryse: Son of Rome and Dead Rising 3.
This morning, Microsoft announced special Day One Editions of those three games that include exclusive content and will be available only through retail pre-order or via download on Xbox Live the first two weeks after launch. If you missed the news earlier today, the Xbox One release date leaked out a bit early by a GameStop memo, showing that the console will ship Nov. 8 in North America. Presuming that’s true, it will be one week before Sony ships the PS4 on Nov. 15.
So, what’s in these special Day One Editions of the three games listed above? Glad you asked.
The Forza Motorsport 5 Day One Car Pack will include three cars from Lamborghini, Audi and Ford, each with a Day One-themed livery and custom tuning package created by the experts at Turn 10. The cars are: a 2010 Audi TT RS Coupe stuffed stem to stern with modern tech and first TT model to carry Audi’s famed RS badge; the 2013 Ford Focus ST, which debuts with the same 247-hp 2.0-liter turbocharged EcoBoost engine from the much larger Ford Explorer SUV; and the 2011 Lamborghini Gallardo LP570-4 Superleggera, which has a chiseled form that’s best appreciated when the car’s moving at top speed.
Meanwhile, the Dead Rising 3 Day One Edition will include a “Tribute Pack” featuring exclusive game content and bonus attribute perks. The Classic Frank West outfit with Frank’s Zombie Slugger weapon, extra gory attacks and a custom skill move, as well as attribute perks for increased melee damage and tougher survivors. The Official Chuck Greene outfit, meanwhile, will include a Paddle Saw combo weapon that cuts through zombie hordes with increased damage and durability. It also includes attribute perks for vehicle and weapon durability.
And finally, the Ryse: Son of Rome Day One Edition will have some exclusive Gladiator Mode unlockables. The Day One Edition of Ryse: Son of Rome will give players access to an exclusive Gladiator Mode Co-Op Multiplayer Map and an exclusive Sword add-on. Owners of the Day One Edition will be able to invite friends who own the Standard Edition to join them on the exclusive map. The Legionnaire’s Trust Exclusive Sword from the Brotherhood of Metalworkers is a blade that includes bonus in-game attributes. Meanwhile, the Ruins place gladiators among the columns of an abandoned temple as they face hordes of Barbarians attacking from around every corner. The arena changes dynamically during gameplay, adding new obstacles and objectives for the player to encounter and overcome.
Again, if you want to get this exclusive Day One content for the games above, you’ll have to pre-order them while supplies last. We recommend doing so from Amazon using these links: Ryse: Son of Rome Day One Edition, Forza Motorsport 5 Day One Edition and Dead Rising 3 Day One Edition.
