Get Exclusive COD: Advanced Warfare In-Game Gear with Mt. Dew and Doritos

September 19, 2014 by Shilpa

Mt. Dew and Doritos are no stranger to the video game scene. Not only are the drinks and chips a staple of many gamers’ kitchens, they’re also regularly involved in exclusive game-related promotions. The next one kicks off in October, and it could net you exclusive COD: Advanced Warfare in-game gear.

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare doesn’t really need the extra publicity or promotion, but the exclusive in-game content through this promotion is bound to entice fans to crunch and guzzle more than normal.

The exclusive COD: Advanced Warfare in-game gear includes such ultra-rare accessories as an exo-skeleton, heavy vest kit, helmets, goggles and boots.

Starting October 6, Mountain Dew and Doritos will debut their “Fuel Up for Battle” promotion in select markets worldwide. The promo will run until Feb. 15, 2015. Fans in the United States can collect codes from specially marked packages of Mt. Dew and Doritos and enter the codes online.

The promotion will give gamers exclusive access to the customizations for their Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare multiplayer character. The upgrades will be accessible through COD: Advanced Warfare’s new “Supply Drops” reward system.

By participating in the promotion, gamers will also be able to unlock double XP and rapid supply rewards. Every code entered unlocks some sort of Call of Duty in-game reward. And better yet, each code entered will also provide a chance to win an Xbox One.

The codes will be available on a Mountain Dew fave (Game Fuel Citrus Cherry) as well as a new flavor, Game Fuel Lemonade. Both products will hit U.S. store shelves Oct. 6. Codes will presumably also be available on standard Mt. Dew flavors.

As for the Doritos part, fans can nab a Fuel Up for Battle promo code on any specially marked 3.375-ounce bag of Doritos Nacho Cheese, Doritos Cool Ranch, Doritos Spicy Nacho or Doritos Dinamita Chile Limon flavored chips.

In Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, customization begins with Supply Drops. This new reward system provides players billions of reward combinations for their multiplayer experience. Delivered through both play time and in-game challenges, Supply Drops reward players with items including Custom Weapons, Character Gear and Reinforcements.

Again, the exclusive COD: Advanced Warfare in-game gear through this promotion will only be available by consuming Dew and Doritos until February 2015. After that it will presumably unlock for everyone.
