It hasn’t taken long for Ubisoft to launch a new round of New Far Cry 4 DLC, after fair (at best) reviews for its initial Far Cry 4 DLC hit Season Pass holders. Called Hurk Deluxe, the downloadable content is part of the Far Cry 4 Season Pass or can be purchased separately.
Hurk Deluxe includes five missions playable in either single-player or co-op mode. Three of the missions are called Yak Farm, Blood Ruby and Hurk’s Redemption, so it’s quite clear Ubisoft is going for more of a narrative thread this time around than it did in Escape from Durgesh Prison.
In addition to the plot lines, the new Far Cry 4 DLC includes an arsenal of new weapons, including a harpoon gun for Hurk.
Far Cry 4 is the franchise’s most expansive outing, as it takes place in an entirely new, massive open world. Players will find themselves in Kyrat, a perilous and wild region of the Himalayas, struggling under the regime of a despotic self-appointed king. Using an array of weapons, vehicles and animals, players must write their own story across an exotic open-world landscape.
The first Far Cry 4 DLC, Durgesh Prison, was more of a time-based “lightning round” sort of mission that by some reports went against the “exploration” model for which the Far Cry series is known. From the sounds of it, Hurk Deluxe is much more in line with the core Far Cry 4 game.
