Microsoft today officially confirmed the rumors that two new Xbox One Assassin’s Creed bundles will be released in November. Both Xbox One Assassin’s Creed bundles, one with the Kinect 2 sensor and one without, will ship on November 2. You can also pre-order the Assassin’s Creed Xbox One bundles from Amazon.
Ubisoft has not announced an Assassin’s Creed bundle for PS4, though that could be a simple matter of the Xbox One Assassin’s Creed bundles being timed exclusives.
Available worldwide on Nov. 2, both the core bundle ($399) and the bundle with Kinect ($499) will include the next-gen-only game Assassin’s Creed Unity, pictured above. That news was largely expected. What was new information was that both Xbox One Assassin’s Creed bundles will also include a copy of Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag.
In addition, the Xbox One Assassin’s Creed bundles with Kinect will include a third free game: Dance Central Spotlight.
Black Flag originally released last year shortly after the Xbox One and PS4 launches. That game, as you might gather from the title, lets gamers explore the swashbuckling life as a pirate of the Caribbean. Yes, we (and Ubisoft) went there. Walt Disney would be proud.
As for the new Assassin’s Creed: Unity, that game takes place at the height of the French Revolution and features an all-new assassin named Arno.
Contrary to the rumor mill’s hopes earlier this week, the Xbox One Assassin’s Creed bundles do not feature a white Xbox One console. Instead, the standard-edition console will come packaged in a special Assassin’s Creed Unity box along with a wireless controller, a chat headset, one month of Xbox Live Gold and a digital download code for Assassin’s Creed Unity, which won’t actually ship until Nov. 11, nine days after the bundles’ launch.
