Kung Fu Panda and Wall-E were by far the two best animated films of the year, and not surprisingly, they’re both releasing on DVD just in time for the holidays. As expected, both films included something fun for everyone in the family, with Kung Fu Panda being even more kid-friendly than Pixar’s latest film.
In Kung Fu Panda, a clumsy but enthusiasti panda named Po works in his family’s noodle shop while daydreaming about becoming a Kung Fu master. His dreams soon become reality when he is unexpectedly chosen to join the world of Kung Fu and study alongside his idols-the legendary fighters Tigress, Crane, Mantis, Viper and Monkey. Tai Lung escapes from prison and is headed their way, and it’s up to the unwitting Po to defend everyone from the oncoming threat. Po puts his heart and his girth into the task, and ultimately finds that his greatest weaknesses turn out to be his greatest strengths.
