Robert Englund is best known for his role as Freddy in the Nightmare on Elm Street movies, but the actor’s actually been in numerous other thrillers and horror flicks. Like RED, for instance. In RED, Avery (played by Brian Cox) is a reclusive older man whose best friend is his dog, Red. When three teens kill Red for no apparent reason, Avery sets out for justice and redemption, attempting to follow the letter of the law. We all know how this ends, right? The law fails him, the boys’ father is a crazy man, and Avery has to avenge himself by any means.
