Papa Smurf, Brainy, Smurfette, Gargamel and Azrael…watching The Smurfs in the 1980s was not only a Saturday morning tradition, it was just a smurftastic thing to do. For years I’ve wondered whether modern cartoons are just a bit too odd or abrasive, and almost on cue, Warner Bros. Home Entertainment is answering this parent’s plea. How? By releasing The Smurfs: Season One, Volume One on DVD. And we’re so ecstatic about this DVD set’s release that we’re giving away three copies.
