A cord-free Wii Nunchuk has finally hit stores, with Kyo today shipping its creatively named “Cord-Free” to retailers in North America. The Cord-Free provides a quick way for Nintendo gamers to convert their wired Wii Nunchuk controllers into a wireless accessory.
Nyko’s Cord-Free wireless adapter adds a self-standing sleeve to the wired Nunchuk, with a dongle that connects to the bottom of the Wii Remote. The dongle provides a wireless connection between the Wii Remote and Nunchuk, providing up to 15 feet of wireless range.
The Cord-Free for the Wii Nunchuk provides up to 60 hours of continuous gameplay, but when you’re not playing, it also includes a compact cord-management system that keeps the existing Nunchuk cord organized and out of sight.
The Cord-Free runs on two AAA batteries (which are included, by the way), and carries a price tag of $19.99.
