Integra Introduces its First Blu-ray Player

October 6, 2008 by Sara Leave a Comment

Integra today made its entrance into the world of Blu-ray Disc players, unveiling the $600 DBS-6.9. Integra’s DBS-6.9 delivers full 1080p video at 24 frames per second, the native frame rate for most original motion pictures and HD content.

As a new Blu-ray player on the market, not just for Integra, the company realized it needed to support the most modern formats, so the DBS-6.9 features an HDMI v. 1.3a output and is fully compatible with the Deep Color standard. The HDMI connection also delivers bitstream output of both Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio codecs for decoding via a compatible receiver.

The DBS-6.9 also includes a front-panel SD card slot, which is necessary to take advantage of the Bonus View picture-in-picture capability. It also plays DVDs, which it can upscale to 1080p, and supports CD, Video CD, CD-R/RW, DVD-R/RW, DivX, WMA, JPEG and MP3-encoded discs.
