Foes.io is an amalgam of territory and army battle .io games. Competitors can go solo or form an alliance during war. But, in the end, only one player will win.
Soldiers fight with nearly 20 types of weapons. There are traditional pistols, shotguns, and machine guns. Brass knuckles, swords, and axes allow for quick kills during close combat. The combat syringe is a rather interesting melee weapon, as it delivers lethal injections to unwilling victims. Other advanced guns include the bolt-action sniper rifle, pump-action shotgun, and silenced pistol. Foes.io is loaded with customizable characters. Even in beta mode, there are 40 different pieces of headgear from which to choose. These include traditional helmets, hats, stylish caps, and protective masks. The variety in headgear is cosmetic, with each one providing the same amount of protection. Having so many helmets and masks means foes look unique, and each battle feels fresh.
There’s also a dozen types of clothing, from armor to fancy shirts. Players can choose to wear a vest, suit, or classic soldier gear during battle. As with headgear, various clothing items only look different—what you wear won’t provide a tactical advantage.
Foes.io already has a substantial audience, with several thousand players competing at any given time. There are plenty of active servers, and joining a game here doesn’t take long. However, each round of play continues until only one soldier remains. If you join a busy server, you might have to wait a couple of minutes before entering the battle.
