Jacksonville has tested rookie quarterback Blake Bortles for the past four games, three as a starter. Bortles has 1,004 yards on the season and 4 TDs, but he also has two fumbles. Last week against the Titans, Bortles had the Jaguars close to their first victory of the year after finding Clay Harbor for a 20-yard TD with 37 seconds left. After recovering the onside kick, Bortles and the Jaguars had a shot, but Josh Scobee’s 55-yard field goal attempt got tipped, and the Jaguars lost 14-16.
If Johnny Manziel does play in today’s Browns Jaguars game, it will be interesting to watch how he performs. Remember, while Manziel slipped to the Browns with the 22nd pick, Bortles was the first QB chosen in the 2014 NFL draft.
