The Washington Redskins don’t often play well at home in Monday Night Football games. Their injuries going into tonight’s MNF game against the Seattle Seahawks implies that trend won’t change. Seattle’s rushing defense is better, allowing just 72.3 yards per game (second in the league). That should all but snuff Redskins running back Alfred Morris, who has 316 yards this season trying to fill the void left by RG3’s absent ground game.
The big story in MNF tonight is Seattle’s Marshawn Lynch, who anchors Seattle’s second-ranked rushing attack. Beast Mode will line up against a Washington defense allowing 87 yards per game. Lynch has 234 yards on the season and averages 4.5 yards per carry. Seahawks QB Russell Wilson averages 4.8 yards per carry, though he has just 87 rushing yards and will allow the Redskins to really test Lynch.
