Indie developers have shown in recent years that well-executed games don’t have to be churned from The MegaPublisher’s halls, but can come from creative teams of any size. One such game, BIT.TRIP RUNNER, was both critically acclaimed and IGF award-winning for its excellent rhythm-music platforming fun. Well, now it’s time for a sequel, BIT.TRIP Presents… Runner2: Future Legend of Rhythm Alien, and it’s releasing on just about every platform available. And we just so happen to have TWO download codes for the PlayStation 3 version that we’re giving away in this free PS3 game sweepstakes.
In the style of the BIT.TRIP series, Runner 2 is a rhythm-music platforming game. Players run through creative environments using new moves while listening to new soundtracks as they run, jump, slide, kick and soar toward their goal. So, what is the goal? Oh, nothing big… just tracking down the Timbletot and thwarting his evil plans to destroy not only our world, but every world there is. Gotta love (melo)drama.
