Microsoft is hitting the Xbox One Black Friday 2014 deals pretty hard, while Sony has remained mum on any Black Friday PS4 deals this year. That’s not to say PS4 owners don’t have anything to look forward to, but the most compelling Black Friday sales may be tied to upgrading your TV. Fortunately the Best Buy Black Friday 2014 deals have just been revealed, and Best Buy has included a 4K UltraHD TV in the mix.
The PlayStation 4 video output supports 4K resolution. Seeing that 4K display at a full 60fps obviously requires having a 4K UHD TV.
Best Buy is offering some deep discounts on Xbox One and PS4 games for Black Friday. For instance, included in Best Buy’s door buster deals are Madden NFL 15, Diablo 3, FIFA 15, NBA 2K15 and other Xbox One and PS4 games for $29.99. They’re also offering a $429.99 Xbox One Assassin’s Creed Unity bundle that includes a free Xbox One wireless controller.
But the Best Buy Black Friday 2014 deals really are anchored by a slew of televisions. That isn’t really surprising, as Best Buy is North America’s largest TV retailer. Best Buy has offered Black Friday TV deals for years, but their Black Friday 2014 sale blows the doors off anything Best Buy’s offered before.
Best Buy’s offering a few different door busters for Black Friday 2014 that span TVs, movies computers and tablets. The highest-profile offers are a 50-inch 1080p Panasonic LED TV and a 55-inch Samsung 4K model.
The retailer will sell the Panasonic set for $200 throughout the Black Friday weekend. According to Minneapolis-based retailer, this Panasonic Black Friday door buster is exclusive to Best Buy for Black Friday 2014. At that price, the Panasonic 1080p TV will no doubt sell out fast.
More interesting to PlayStation 4 owners is the Best Buy Black Friday 2014 door buster deal for a 55-inch Samsung Ultra HD TV. According to Best Buy, that set will be priced at $900 from Nov. 27-29. As with all Black Friday deals, the offer will only be available while supplies last.
In addition to these great TV prices, the Best Buy Black Friday 2014 deals include $100 off iPads, $10 Blu-ray new-release movies, a $300 Dell touchscreen laptop, and $80 Beats by Dre headphones.
Best Buy store hours for the Black Friday weekend will be 5pm on Thanksgiving Day until 1am that night. At that point stores will be closed but re-open on Black Friday at 8am, giving salespeople a seven-hour break. According to reports, Best Buy’s Thanksgiving and Black Friday store hours will each have a separate wave of door buster deals, though that wasn’t evident on Best Buy’s own door busters microsite.
If you don’t have a Best Buy near you but do have a Walmart, you may find it useful to ask Walmart to price-match the Best Buy Black Friday 2014 deals. When unveiling its own Black Friday 2014 ads Walmart indicated they would match competitors’ pricing on all items if they were in stock.
