Spring training is upon us, which means so, too, is the latest batch of baseball video games from Sony and 2K Sports. Sony’s MLB 11 The Show brings fans closer to the Major Leagues than ever before with authentic franchise and season modes and a host of features exclusive to the PS2 version, believe it or not.
Among the changes for MLB 11 The Show is a new Pure Analog Control System that lets players use analog controls for hitting, pitching and throwing. Pure Hitting allows players to stride and swing using the Right Analog Stick, while Pure Pitching incorporates a new Pitch Meter when setting strength and location, and Pure Throwing can be used to make defensive throws by simply pointing the Right Analog Stick in the direction of the base.
MLB 11 The Show also includes a new Co-op Mode supporting four-player offline or online cooperative play, a customizable camera editor, dynamic weather, and — for the PS2 only — an all-new Player Creator that lets users create their own players all the way down to their face by using the EyeToy.
With all those bells and whistles, particularly on the PS2 version of MLB 11 The Show, we figured you might want to win a copy. So, we’re giving one away here.
