I’m a film noir junkie to the point that it extends to radio and TV. There’s just something about the melodrama of troubled love, murder and revenge that warms our aching hearts. One of Fox’s most classic noir films, Road House, will soon release on DVD, and we’re sharing our love for noir by giving one copy away right here.
In Road House, a guy named Jefty owns a roadhouse near the Canadian border, where he returns with a love interest after a trip to Chicago. When Jefty goes hunting, this new love interest, Lily, falls for another guy, which sends Jefty into a serious rage. Troubling? Yes. But it makes for some dang fine noir-film entertainment.
