Bruce Willis is known for a few memorable roles over the years, but without question each of them hinges on an action-packed plot. His latest outing, Surrogates, follows that same mold, with Willis once again living up to his “yippee kiyay” ways, this time in a futuristic setting directed by the man behind Terminator 3.
In Surrogates, which is based on the graphic novel by Robert Venditti and Brett Weldele, FBI agent Tom Greer (Willis) lives in a world where robotic surrogates stand-in for people, protecting them from violence, contagion and the appearance of aging, allowing people to experience life from the comfort and safety of their homes. But when Greer’s surrogate is damaged during an investigation, he ventures outside for the first time in years in a mission to solve the crime while trying to determine whom he can trust and whom he can’t.
