Lost in Blue: Shipwrecked! will Set Sail on the Wii

Konami’s Lost in Blue franchise is set to appear on a console for the first time, as the company today announced Lost in Blue: Shipwrecked! for the Nintendo Wii. The game, scheduled to ship this fall, is based on a franchise that’s been DS-only up to this point.

With its move to the Wii, Lost in Blue: Shipwrecked! will include 3D graphics and weather effects as you’d expect to see on a console, but more important, it will also use the interactive capabilities of the Wii Remote and Nunchuk.

Taking full advantage of the Wii Remote and Nunchuk, Lost in Blue: Shipwrecked! will let players practice various survival tasks with more than 40 mini-games including fishing, carpentry and fire-making, as well as some cooperative games.

In Lost in Blue: Shipwrecked!, players will find themselves stranded on a mysterious island filled with forests, ancient ruins and an active volcano. With the help of pets and friends, players can explore the mysteries of the island to find a way home, or make a new life for themselves and stay forever.

We recommend finding a way home. The DS is a mighty small place to spend eternity.
