The Armored Core franchise is 13 games deep, a definite sign that the ‘mech series is both beloved and doing something right. The latest entry, Armored Core for Answer, has just shipped for both the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. Set in the distant future, the game tasks players with taking on a military superpower that controls Earth’s infrastructure and has forced most of the population to live in huge aerial communities. A part of a rebel resistance, players must jump into their ‘mechs and attack the superpower’s bases.
In addition to the single-player mode, Armored Core for Answer includes seamless online co-op as well as competitive multiplayer modes. The game also supports an impressive amount of customization for your ‘mech, something for which the Armored Core franchise is known.
