December 12, 2007 by Sara Leave a Comment

Up up down down left right left right B A B A Start. With that code alone, you know which game I’m talking about. The original Contra is a classic, both for that code and for its gameplay. The next game in the series, Contra 4, is smashing onto the Nintendo DS, and with the DS’ two touchscreens, you can imagine how intense (and large) the action is. And yes, some bosses take up both screens. If you want to get in on the dual-screen Contra 4 action, you’ve come to the right place. We’re giving away two copies of Contra 4 for the DS to two lucky winners. Will one of those winners be you?

To enter to win one of these two free DS games, you just need to be 18 years old or older, live in the lower 48 United States and “>submit an entry. You can submit an entry once per day through 11:59pm PST on January 11, 2008. When the contest ends we’ll select two winners, send them an email for address confirmation, and ship the game once we receive confirmation that they still want to win freebies like this. And remember, you can enter this free sweepstakes once per day; take advantage of the opportunity!

Game summary: Contra 4 for the Nintendo DS takes place two years after the events of Contra III: The Alien Wars. After saving earth from invasion by Red Falcon, Bill Rizer and Lance Bean are confronted with a new extraterrestrial menace: the terrifying Black Viper. Joined by hard-boiled mercenaries Mad Dog and Scorpion, the warriors must once again wage war against an entire army of invaders. Utilizing a new dual screen presentation, the action spans both screens of the Nintendo DS, giving players the opportunity to battle across expansive environments in which death can come from any direction.
