Sonic the Hedgehog is getting all sorts of love lately. First, he’s announced to be a playable character in the next Super Smash Brothers for Nintendo Wii. Then he’s announced as the subject of a new BioWare RPG. Then he’s named the one mascot that will share lead billing with Mario in their joint venture at the Olympics. And then, as if that wasn’t enough publicity, Sonic gets his third animated series ready to release on DVD. And you thought the holiday shopping rush was bad…. Sonic Underground is the third animated series with the Sega mascot, and since we’re all feeling the holiday spirit here at DailyGame, we’re giving away five free copies of the DVD.

Movie synopsis: Sonic Underground is the third animated series based on the popular SEGA video game character SOnic The Hedgehog. Featuring Family Matters’ Jaleel White as the voice of Sonic and Sean Connery as the voice of Great-Grandfather Athair, each of the 40 episodes in the series also featured a Sonic Underground song in music video form. Included in the DVD set that we’ve giving away free is a CD soundtrack featuring eight Greatest Hits from the series.
