The Shadow of War (originally named as Middle-earth: Shadow of War) is a role playing game. This game is filled which lot of action. This game is the sequel of the game which was released in 2014 known as Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor. The development of this game is done by Monolith Productions and publication of the same is done by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. it was released on October 10, 2017 for Microsoft Windows, Xbox One and PlayStation. A free-to-play companion game was also released for iOS and Android. The game can be played in two modes: single player mode and multi-player mode.
As we know that Shadow of war is sequel of Shadow of Mordor, the game continues with its previous narration. The game is based on the number of events of The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings and on J.R>R. Tolkien’s Legendarium. The game has taken heavy inspiration from those to films.
In this the player continues of the range known as ranger Talion and the spirit of elf lord Celebrimbor, who share body of Talion. They forge a new Ring of Power which will help them to amass an army to fight against Sauron. The game is built upon the “Nemesis System” which was introduced in its previous game the Shadow of Mordor. This allowed Talion to gain followers from several races of Middle-earth which include Uruks and Ologs and plan for some complex strategies and using that in their missions.
Shadow of war received a kind of mixed critics but the positive response was more. The gameplay and the nemesis system helped the game to receive good response from critics but the story-line and other changes that were made to establish the characters were not appreciated.
Gameplay
The game is set in an open game environment and is played with the perspective of third person. The player controls the main character of the game i.e. Talion who has several athletic and combat abilities as a ranger of Gondor and even has the unique abilities which are provided by Celebrimbor. The player use combined abilities to defeat the armies of Sauron.
In game’s multi-player mode features a “Social Conquest mode”; in this the player is able to invade other players.
Reception
The game received good reviews according to review aggregator Metacritic. The game has even received nominations for E3 2017 in many categories. (“Best of Show”, “Best Console Game”, “Best PC Game” and “Best Action/ Adventure Game” are the categories in which the game received nominations.)

The game has good graphics and is best for those who love action. The gameplay of the game is interestingly great. Even the story-line of the game has helped in improving the popularity of the game.
