LucasArts dropped onto our lap a batch of new screenshots for its physics-based shooter Fracture, which ships this summer for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. You can see the new Fracture screenshots below.
Both the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions use the game’s physics engine to drive the overall gameplay. We’ve all heard of environmental destruction and deformable terrain, but Fracture actually relies on those physics. For instance, players may have to blast holes in the ground to get out from under an obstacle, or they may have to use a special weapon that raises the earth so they can reach higher ground.
Check out the screens below, then (if you’re interested), head over to Amazon to pre-order the Xbox 360 version or to pre-order the PS3 version.
Fracture will officially ship for Xbox 360 and PS3 in July. That date’s subject to change, of course….
