The open Battlefield 4 beta for PlayStation 3 is now available via the PlayStation Store, the beta on Xbox 360 is available to download from the Xbox 360 Demos Section (Xbox Live Gold subscribers only), and it’s on EA’s Origin site for all PC gamers. This is the public’s first chance to play the games with the masses, but many people may not have seen it yet or been granted access. With that in mind, we wanted to share this new Battlefield 4 beta Xbox 360 gameplay video.
In the BF4 beta, players are doing battle on the map called Siege of Shanghai and playing two modes, Conquest and Domination. With dynamic destructible environments, epic vehicular combat and the chaos of all-out war, Battlefield 4 gives you the freedom to do more and be more than in any previous Battlefield experience.
Battlefield 4 will be available in North America on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC on October 29; PS4 on November 12; and Xbox One on November 19. Battlefield 4 will ship in Europe on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC on October 31; PS4 on November 29; and Xbox One on November 22.
Many people may wonder what the purpose is of the Battlefield 4 beta. Quite simply, it’s a chance for the developers (DICE) to properly test their servers, the back end, and configure the multiplayer components of the game before its official launch. Suffice it to say, EA wants to avoid server issues again (ahem, Sim City). By taking part, gamers will also have the option to feedback directly to the developers with gameplay ideas, bugs they find and other thoughts on the Beta experience.
As you can see from the Battlefield 4 Beta Xbox 360 gameplay video above, there’s a ton of action awaiting in the Battlefield 4 beta and, ultimately, in the final game. If you have a PC that can run it (specs here), there’s no reason to not participate. Console gamers should also check it out if you meet the requirements (XBL Gold, for instance). Happy hunting!
