Xbox Live Arcade is getting two new games this Wednesday, one of which reflects an odd product marketing ploy. At least it’s free.
The marketing-based game, Yaris, is produced by Toyota to promote its newest car model. The game is a dodger/shooter driving game that puts players behind the wheel of a customizable Toyota Yaris to destroy enemies, avoid obstacles and finish the course before it “finishes” them. The cars are customizable, and the game does include online multiplayer via Xbox Live.
The second game available this Wednesday will be Puzzle Quest: Challenge of the Warlords. The Xbox Live Arcade version of Puzzle Quest: Challenge of the Warlords contains all of the content found on other platforms but has been optimized for widescreen HD display and Xbox Live features including camera support, Achievements and leaderboards. Additionally, the game includes some minor rebalancing and gameplay tweaks.
While Yaris will be free for one year, Puzzle Quest: Challenge of the Warlords will set gamers back 1200 Microsoft Points.
