Sony released some great news for gamers who can’t wait to get their hands on a demo for Beyond: Two Souls, one of the best-looking and most-intriguing games we saw at E3 — even though it’s coming to the current-gen PlayStation 3. The news: the Beyond Two Souls demo will go live for PS3 on Oct. 1. Sony also indicated that select PS3 owners will be able to get their hands on the Beyond Two Souls demo on Sept. 24, but they didn’t announce how.
Gotta love a teaser like that.
The Beyond Two Souls demo will include two scenes from the full version of the game. These scenes were hand-picked by Sony to give insight into the extraordinary story that awaits when the full version releases later in the month. All told, the Beyond Two Souls demo will feature the following two scenes from the final game:
- Jodie & Aiden: Join a very young Jodie as she takes part in an experiment at the Department of Paranormal Activities. As officials put her abilities to the test, you take charge of a mysterious, invisible entity.
- Hunted: Skip forward a number of years and help Jodie escape the clutches of government agents as the mysterious entity unleashes its truly astonishing powers.
The Beyond Two Souls demo also marks the first chance the public will have had to go hands-on with the control scheme that’s been improved since Heavy Rain released on the PS3.
