During E3 2008, 2K Games finally gave select members of the media a chance to sit down and learn more about Borderlands, the company’s upcoming “shooter RPG.” When it was first announced, much ado was made about the game’s arsenal of 500,000 guns. Now that we’ve seen the game in action, we understand why.
Borderlands uses a random generation engine to assemble all dropped and discovered weapons dynamically. As a result, you quite literally never know what you’re going to get when you open a crate or loot a fallen enemy.
One thing we do know, though, is that Borderlands should look good, as we saw for ourselves at E3 and are pleased to share with you here in the only two screenshots released so far. Click on either of the screenshots below to see it in high resolution.
