Konami today shipped yet another Dance Dance Revolution game, this one designed to capitalize on kids’ fascination with Mickey. Called Dance Dance Revolution: Disney Channel Edition, the game is exclusively to the PlayStation2.
Actually, the game isn’t really designed with Mickey Mouse in mind. Instead, it features music and characters from some of Disney Channell’s favorite TV shows and movies, including Hannah Montana, High School Musical, The Suite Life of Zack and Cody, That’s So Raven, The Cheetah Girls and Kim Possible.
All told, Dance Dance Revolution: Disney Channel Edition contains 40 songs that can be unlocked by completing various gameplay challenges. There’s also a new, exclusive mode called “Magic Mode,” in which players compete against one of the Disney Channel stars. By building up the combo meter and controlling the Groove Meter with the best performance, players can beat the character and unlock his or her special outfits.
Additional modes include a calorie-blasting Workout Mode, Training Mode, Advanced Mode for the more adventurous and the “normal” Free Play and Edit Modes.
