You may F.E.A.R. sequels, or you may love them. You may F.E.A.R. first-person shooters, or you may love them. But do you fear microtransactions on the PS3 and Xbox 360? Warner Bros. Interactive hopes not, because they’re planning to release the first round of downloadable content for F.E.A.R. 2 in mid-April.
F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin will up the paranormal horror ante in April with the release of new downloadable content that includes a Toy Soldiers map pack, a premium theme and a picture pack.
Details on the Toy Soldiers map pack are scarce, but Warner has said it “will allow players to experience multiplayer from a new perspective.” Anyone else care to guess that this means players will run and shoot their way through an oversized world, giving the illusion of being small plastic men in a human-sized world?
Pricing and a specific release date have not yet been announced.
